How to start your morning even if you got horrible sleep.
You could possibly be more productive even getting a horrible night of sleep if you have a rescue plan.
One book that truly changed my life was Miracle Morning. I habitually work 6 p.m.-3 a.m. The days I work I get up at 11:30 and do a morning routine before starting my goals. The days I don't work I get up at 5-6 a.m. depending on the phase of me not working (I usually work 9 days on and 9-11 days off).
Having a morning routine can rescue you from feeling terrible and give you that activation energy to continue as if you had bad sleep. Starting each morning with 5 minutes of silence has dividends the rest of the day.
It's in my calendar. Everyday. I may not spend an hour everyday but I spend at least as much time as if I had bitched and moaned in bed.
If you don't want to read the book (it takes 2 days), you can get the gist from dozens of websites. I pasted my schedule in the morning for what it entails.
I do not agree with his idea about sleep and only needing 5 hours. Mountains of science argue against this.
